The reverse side of the package has detailed instructions explaining how to cut and prepare the vanilla beans for making pure vanilla extract at home.
The vanilla beans are whole, extract grade, and are produced explicitly for making vanilla extract. Extract grade vanilla has an extended curing and drying process which concentrates & locks in the vanilla flavor. The flavor and aromas are released when exposed to alcohol.
Packages come in ½ ounce size.

Tahitian Flavor Profile
Tahitian vanilla beans are spicy with notes of fig, cherry & anise with an overall smooth flavor. The flavor pairs well with the heavier flavors of chocolates & caramel.
Our Ambient-Air Packaging
We package our vanilla in ambient air packaging because vanilla continues to cure and develop flavor in natural air packaging, and vacuum packaging can create an environment for anaerobic bacteria.
